The Union Cycliste Internationale has recognized the sporting and organizational level of the Tour de Pologne Women. The race has once again earned promotion to a higher category and will hold UCI ProSeries status next year. “Both in terms of organization and media coverage, the Tour de Pologne Women is already very close to the men’s race” said Lang Team General Director, Czesław Lang.
The revival of the Tour de Pologne Women in 2024 proved to be a major success, which is why this season we once again saw top female riders competing on Polish roads. The 3rd edition of the Tour de Pologne Women — held as a 1st category race — brought together 7 Women’s WorldTeams at the start and was organized in a fully professional setting.
This year’s edition — won by Italian rider Chiara Consonni of Canyon//SRAM zondacrypto — was broadcast by TVP and Eurosport, bringing live race coverage to fans in 65 countries. Next season, the race will take another step up, as announced by the UCI, the 4th Tour de Pologne Women will be held as a UCI ProSeries event, which guarantees even greater prestige and interest from the world’s top teams.
“Year after year, the organization of the Tour de Pologne Women keeps improving — for example, this year we had live broadcasts on TVP and Eurosport. The race, both in terms of organization and media, is already very close to the men’s event and enjoys great popularity. That’s why the 3rd Tour de Pologne Women attracted as many as seven WorldTour teams, and this, combined with the entire professional setup, resulted in promotion to a higher category. The Tour de Pologne Women is developing beautifully, and I hope that one day we’ll reach the WorldTour level” commented Czesław Lang.
