Only a few days remain until the start of the 3rd Tour de Pologne Women. Reintroduced last year, the race will once again take place on the roads of the Lubelskie Voivodeship, with riders competing for the victory in the ORLEN General Classification. The competition will be held from August 12–14.
The men’s 82nd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour is in full swing, and its conclusion won’t mark the end of top-level excitement. On August 12, just two days after the finish of the 82nd Tour de Pologne, the women will take to the roads in the 3rd edition of Tour de Pologne Women.
Last year’s return of the race was a great success, best exemplified by its promotion to the first category of the UCI calendar. The event has also attracted a lot of interest from teams – 7 of the 14 UCI Women’s WorldTeams are coming to Poland, including Canyon//SRAM zondacrypto, Lidl-Trek, and UAE Team ADQ! Polish riders will also be present, representing the national team, MAT ATOM Deweloper Wrocław, and TKK Pacific Nestlé Fitness.
Polish cyclists will also compete for foreign teams. Silver Olympic medalist from Paris, Daria Pikulik, has confirmed her participation, and the preliminary start list includes Dominika Włodarczyk from UAE Team ADQ, who finished fourth in the recently concluded Tour de France Femmes.
– I’m very happy that after last year’s edition of the race, we were promoted in the UCI calendar. I hope that together with Tour de Pologne Women, we will soon join the WorldTour, and just like the men’s race, we will see the world’s best here in Poland – including Polish riders who are among the top cyclists in the world – said Czesław Lang, General Director of the Tour de Pologne Women.
The route of the 3rd Tour de Pologne Women will take the riders through the picturesque roads of the Lublin Voivodeship. The race will start with a dynamic stage beginning and ending in Zamość. The following day, the riders will face a hilly stage in Chełm and its surroundings. The third stage – from Aleja Grabowa in Nałęczów to Kraśnik in Kraśnik County – will be decisive for the ORLEN General Classification. Along the way, the riders will also compete for the zondacrypto Special Prize, and throughout the three days, they will battle for the LOTTO Most Active Rider Classification.
– The Lubelskie Voivodeship will once again host the Tour de Pologne Women. There will be three stages – we start in Zamość, then Chełm, and the final stage goes from Nałęczów to Kraśnik. We feel strong support and involvement from Marshal Jarosław Stawiarski, who understands the importance of promoting the region through sport. I’m very happy about this. Together, we are creating a fantastic event that not only delivers great sporting excitement but also promotes the Lubelskie Voivodeship, Roztocze, and all the beautiful places in this region – said Czesław Lang, General Director of the Tour de Pologne Women.
All teams participating in the race will be staying at Hotel Arche Nałęczów, formerly Milicyjne Sanatorium – the official accommodation base of the 3rd Tour de Pologne Women.
Thanks to broadcasts on TVP, Eurosport, and HBO Max, the race will reach fans in 65 countries around the world. 3rd Tour de Pologne Women will take place on August 12-14.
