After the first day of competition in the 4th Tour de Pologne Women, it is time for the second interesting stage. On Saturday, the competitors will begin the stage from Włodawa to Lubartów, which will pass by the Polesie National Park, among other places. Yesterday, the Dutch rider Lorena Wiebes (Team SD Worx-Protime) proved to be unrivaled, and she will start the second stage as the leader of the ORLEN General Classification and the LOTTO Most Active Rider Classification.
The women’s race of the 4th Tour de Pologne Women started with a bang with a stage from Tomaszów Lubelski to Zamość. It is time for the next act of the exciting competition, which began on Friday with a spectacular triumph by Lorena Wiebes from the Team SD Worx-Protime squad. The first leader of the ORLEN General Classification will naturally be the main favorite to reach for victory on the second stage – from Włodawa to Lubartów.
“We will try to win in the coming days as well. We are here with a clear goal, to win as much as possible” commented the Dutchwoman after winning in Zamość.
The peloton will start the 118-kilometer struggle in the very east of Poland, by the border river Bug in Włodawa – the City of Three Cultures. From there, it will head towards Okuninka and Lake Białe in the Włodawa County and Włodawa Commune. The riders will ride through places famous for beautiful landscapes, wild river meanders, dense forests and bodies of water.
The peloton will ride past the Polesie National Park and visit the Łęczna County – there, in Ludwin, the only LOTTO Sprint Prime on today’s stage is located. The cyclists will fight for victory in Lubartów, a city with rich cycling traditions, where the central celebrations of the UN-patronized World Bicycle Day took place in 2026.
“Today’s stage from Włodawa to Lubartów will certainly be very interesting, especially since nice weather is forecast. Yesterday it was mixed with the weather – a bit of rain, a bit of sun. The stage was very demanding. We will ride through beautiful, charming places, and certainly the cyclists who will be racing will have many things to see and will take away a good impression from here” said Czesław Lang, General Director of the 4th Tour de Pologne Women.
On the flat and dynamic route, sprinters will once again try to present themselves well. Besides Lorena Wiebes and her teammate Barbara Guarischi – the second rider of yesterday’s stage – it is worth mentioning Elisa Balsamo (Lidl-Trek), the third in Zamość Marthe Truyen (Fenix-Premier Tech), Josie Nelson (Team Picnic-PostNL) or Olga Wankiewicz in MAT ATOM Deweloper Wrocław, who took a very high, fifth place in the first stage.
The ceremonial start will take place at the Market Square in Włodawa at 12:10 PM, and the finish line at the Market Square in Lubartów is planned for around 3:20 PM. The broadcast produced by Telewizja Polska will be available on TVP Sport from 1:15 PM, and a rebroadcast can be watched on Eurosport 1 at 5:00 PM. At the same time, the race can be followed live on the HBO Max streaming platform, thanks to which it will reach fans from 65 countries.
