After 8 years, the Tour de Pologne Women has returned to the cycling calendar. The comeback to women’s racing on Polish roads turned out to be a big success – the competition was extremely exciting and attracted significant interest from fans. This year, once again, the riders will compete on the roads of the Lublin region.
The success of last year’s edition is confirmed by a promotion in the cycling hierarchy and the race achieving first-category status. The Tour de Pologne Women is also growing in sporting terms, as evidenced by the strong interest in participating in the Polish stage race. The start list for the competition, which will take place from August 12–14, includes 7 teams licensed in the Women’s World Tour, the top division in women’s cycling.
These will be the well-known Canyon//SRAM zondacrypto – the team of Katarzyna Niewiadoma and Agnieszka Skalniak-Sójka – as well as Human Powered Health, FDJ-SUEZ, UAE Team ADQ, Lidl-Trek, Uno-X Mobility, and AG Insurance – Soudal Team. The start list will also include 4 strong second-division teams, including the Dutch VolkerWessels, which dominated last year’s Tour de Pologne Women by winning 2 stages and securing a double in the ORLEN general classification – the Main Sponsor of the race.
Polish teams should not be forgotten either. The White-and-Reds will have a chance to showcase themselves in the Tour de Pologne Women and compete against riders from around the world. “I’m glad that this race is gaining a stronger position, which is why we approach it organizationally just like the Tour de Pologne. The presentation, scenography, media coverage — everything is at the highest level. It will truly be a beautiful spectacle, and it’s great that Polish women will be able to showcase their talents here. We meet all the organizational criteria of the Union Cycliste Internationale, and I believe that we’ll be in the World Tour soon” says Czesław Lang, General Director of the Tour de Pologne Women.
A strong start list is just one of many reasons to follow the Tour de Pologne Women. This year’s edition of the race will once again run through the picturesque roads of the Lublin region, passing through Zamość, Chełm, Nałęczów and Kraśnik. The undulating terrain should favor attacking riders.
The dynamic and exciting racing will be broadcast live on Telewizja Polska, Eurosport, and the MAX streaming platform, bringing the signal to fans in 65 countries around the world! The Tour de Pologne Women will begin on August 12 and will last for three days.
