This Saturday in France, the women’s elite road race for the European Championship title will take place. Among the White-and-Reds we’ll see, among others, Dominika Włodarczyk and Katarzyna Niewiadoma.
The European Road Championships are underway in the French departments of Drome and Ardeche. On Saturday, the elite women will compete on a mountainous 116-kilometer course.
An eight-rider Polish national team will line up at the start, featuring:
Dominika Włodarczyk (UAE Team ADQ), Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney, Agnieszka Skalniak-Sójka (Canyon//SRAM Racing), Marta Lach (Team SD Worx-Protime), Kaja Rysz (Roland), Karolina Perekitko (Winspace Orange Seal), Natalia Krześlak and Nikol Płosaj (TKK Pacific Nestlé Fitness).
During this year’s Tour de Pologne Women, Kaja Rysz and Dominika Włodarczyk particularly stood out, both finishing twice inside the top 10. Meanwhile, Malwina Mul (MAT ATOM Deweloper Wrocław) placed 9th overall in the ORLEN General Classification and took 10th place in Friday’s U23 road race at the European Championships.
