The 3rd Tour de Pologne Women unveiled

During a special broadcast on TVP Sport, the routes for this year’s editions of the Tour de Pologne and Tour de Pologne Women were officially presented. Once again, elite female cyclists from around the globe will compete in the prestigious Polish stage race. Just like last year, the event will take place in the scenic regions of Lublin and Roztocze and will span three days – from August 12 to 14.

The detailed route and stage profiles for the 3rd Tour de Pologne Women have now been revealed. Last year’s edition, revived by Czesław Lang and Lang Team, proved to be a great success and has since earned a permanent place on the international calendar. Thanks to top-tier organization, the race has been promoted to the first category level. It is well on its way to becoming part of the UCI Women’s WorldTour – a prospect that has not gone unnoticed by the top women’s teams.

The women’s peloton will race across Poland from August 12 to 14, just two days after the FINISH of the men’s Tour de Pologne – a scheduling decision that is expected to boost interest in the women’s competition. And there will be plenty to watch! The TVP Sport broadcast showcased the route and profiles of all three stages, which will again unfold on the roads of the Lublin Voivodeship.

The race will kick off with a hilly, 105-kilometer stage starting and finishing in Zamość – a historic city that has already hosted the men’s edition of the race and now welcomes the women’s peloton. The dynamic opening stage features a LOTTO Sprint Prime in Szczebrzeszyn, and just like the finish in Zamość, it should favor the fastest riders in the field.

The following day, the action moves to Chełm, which will host the start and finish of Stage 2, covering just under 100 kilometers. The peloton will once again traverse the picturesque terrain of the Lubelskie region, passing through the LOTTO Sprint Prime in Chełm Commune. This stage will suit all-rounders and will end with a cobbled finish to add an extra layer of challenge and excitement.

The decisive stage for the ORLEN General Classification will be Stage 3, from Nałęczów to Kraśnik. The 128-kilometer route includes numerous short but steep climbs that are expected to shape the final standings. Before the ultimate winner is crowned, riders will also contest two LOTTO Sprint Prime in Urzędów and Węgliska, as well as the zondacrypto Special Sprint in Sułów.

The race will come to a head on the sharp climbs leading into Kraśnik, where the overall winner of the 3rd Tour de Pologne Women will be decided. The riders will battle for the ORLEN General Classification, the LOTTO Most Active Rider classification, and the zondacrypto Stage Winner award.

A WorldTour-Caliber Race

Though still young, the Tour de Pologne Women is growing rapidly thanks to the experienced organizational team. Already last year, riders commented that the race’s production standards matched those of UCI Women’s WorldTour events. The same is expected this year – with a new and improved start list.

Seven top-tier UCI Women’s WorldTeams – half of the division – will line up for the Polish stage race. Competing in the Lublin region will be teams such as Canyon//SRAM zondacrypto, as well as UAE Team ADQ, Human Powered Health, Lidl-Trek, FDJ-SUEZ, AG Insurance – Soudal, and Uno-X Mobility.

Polish riders – a growing force in the women’s peloton – also feature prominently in Canyon//SRAM zondacrypto (Katarzyna Niewiadoma, Agnieszka Skalniak-Sójka) UAE Team ADQ (reigning national champion Dominika Włodarczyk) and Human Powered Health (Paris Olympic silver medalist Daria Pikulik and her sister Wiktoria Pikulik). The start list will also include the Polish national team and two locall squads – continental MAT ATOM Deweloper Wrocław and TKK Pacific Nestle Fitness – who will be eager to leave their mark in such a competitive field.

Fans will be able to follow the 3rd Tour de Pologne Women through a professional broadcast produced by TVP Sport. The coverage will be on par with that of the Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour and the Grand Tours. Women’s cycling – along with the beauty of the Lublin region and the race’s partners – will also be showcased on Eurosport and the MAX streaming platform, reaching viewers in 65 countries around the world.

The 3rd Tour de Pologne Women promises to be an exceptional cycling spectacle – with Polish riders in starring roles!
