On Tuesday, July 29, a press conference was held at the Lexus Warszawa Radość dealership, during which the fleet of Toyota and Lexus vehicles was officially handed over. In the coming days, these cars will be seen on the routes of the 82nd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour and the 3rd Tour de Pologne Women. This is the result of cooperation between Lang Team, Toyota Central Europe, Toyota Radość, and Lexus Warszawa Radość.
As of this year, the Official Automotive Partner of Lang Team is Toyota Central Europe, Toyota Radość, and Lexus Warszawa Radość, who provide vehicles for the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix, the 82nd Tour de Pologne, and the 3rd Tour de Pologne Women. The fleet of Toyota and Lexus vehicles made its debut at the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix, an event organized by Lang Team, where the cars performed excellently on demanding, mountainous routes.
On July 29, during the press conference at Lexus Warszawa Radość, the vehicle fleet for the 82nd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour and 3rd Tour de Pologne Women was officially handed over. Over 40 specially prepared Toyota and Lexus vehicles will be seen along the routes, used by Lang Team’s General Director Czesław Lang and the Chief Commissaire to oversee the race proceedings. This exceptional fleet will ensure the comfort and safety of everyone working on both races.
“I’m very happy that our cooperation with our Official Automotive Partner – Toyota Radość and Lexus Warszawa Radość – is going so well. These beautiful, branded Toyota and Lexus cars were already visible in the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix convoy, which made the race convoy look very professional. But most importantly, the cars performed superbly in racing conditions, which are often twisty, fast, and tense. In the 82nd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour we will cover over 1,000 kilometers across various terrains, including mountains, so having reliable cars is incredibly important to us” said Czesław Lang, General Director of Lang Team.
“Thanks to this partnership, our races gained a modern, eco-friendly fleet that not only supports the logistics of our events, but also reflects the values we promote: health, passion, ecology, and professionalism. It also contributes to the race’s image – the 82nd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour and 3rd Tour de Pologne Women will be broadcast on TVP and Eurosport, meaning that fans around the world will see the Toyota and Lexus vehicles moving along the route” added Czesław Lang.
„It is a great honor for us to be the Official Automotive Partner of the 82nd Tour de Pologne and the 3rd Tour de Pologne Women. Toyota and Lexus have supported the world’s biggest sporting events for years, because sport – just like the automotive world – requires precision, reliability, and passion. These are values that are part of our DNA and drive us forward. We are confident that our cars will perform excellently on the routes of the Tour de Pologne, thanks to their reliability and low-emission hybrid technology. They will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the race – leading the peloton convoy and providing essential logistical support. It is a great honor for us that, as the 2024 Dealer of the Year, we can collaborate with Lang Team – the leader of Polish cycling. Together, we form a team united by a passion for sport and the pursuit of excellence” said Maja Kleszczewska, President of the Radość Group.
“It is a great honor and an even greater pleasure to support Lang Team and the prestigious race that is the Tour de Pologne. At Toyota, sport is close to our heart—and not just motorsport or asphalt roads, but also, as you can see, cycling. As we follow sporting events and competitions around the world across various disciplines, we hope you also notice our presence, support, and commitment as a partner. One of Toyota’s core missions is ‘Mobility for All,’ and our partnership with Lang Team is a perfect example of that philosophy in action. To celebrate this collaboration, we’ve prepared something special for cycling fans: a limited edition of the Toyota Corolla TS Kombi and the Toyota Corolla Cross, featuring dedicated Tour de Pologne design details. Each model will be produced in just 200 units and is available through our nationwide network of Authorized Toyota Dealers. What’s more, each of these cars is also offered with an attractive monthly rate through our KINTO One leasing and service program, which we operate in collaboration with Toyota Leasing and our Authorized Dealers. Here’s an interesting fact: nearly 30 years ago, when we introduced hybrid vehicles to our lineup, we used—and still use—an infographic showing two cyclists riding a tandem to explain how the hybrid powertrain works. One cyclist represents the internal combustion engine, and the other the electric motor. Depending on whether the car is accelerating, braking, climbing, or descending, the cyclists either pedal or rest and recover energy. In this way, the Tour de Pologne is also a perfect metaphor and opportunity to observe the effort of cyclists, closely tied to how our hybrid systems operate. And finally, our motorsports team proudly bears the name ‘Gazoo Racing.’ So to all participants of the Tour de Pologne, we wish you just the right amount of ‘Gazoo’ to power you through the race!” – said Mirosław Sochacki, Senior Manager, Corporate Sales Department, Toyota Central Europe.
The cycling festivities featuring Toyota and Lexus vehicles will begin on August 3 with the presentation of the 82nd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour in Wrocław. The race will kick off the next day from Centennial Hall. The riders will face 7 stages, with the competition concluding near the “Wieliczka” Salt Mine. Afterwards, the colorful race caravan will move to the Lublin Voivodeship for the 3rd Tour de Pologne Women, which will take place from August 12 to 14.
Both races will be broadcast on TVP, Eurosport, and the MAX streaming platform, with live signals reaching fans in 65 countries.
