A year after Tour de Pologne Women returned to the calendar of the Union Cycliste Internationale, the race is climbing higher and higher up the cycling ladder. This season, the event received first-category status, which is reflected, among other things, in the impressive start list. The goal \u2013 as emphasized by General Director Czes\u0142aw Lang \u2013 is to advance to the World Tour as soon as possible. \u201cWe meet all the organizational criteria of the UCI, and I think we\u2019ll be in the World Tour soon\u201d <\/em>he says.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tour de Pologne has been a globally recognized brand for years. As part of the prestigious UCI World Tour series, we can watch the best riders fighting for victory on Polish roads every year. Recognizing the development and potential of women\u2019s cycling, Czes\u0142aw Lang and the Lang Team decided to relaunch the Tour de Pologne Women in 2024. The event, held in the Lubelskie region, turned out to be a big success, with dynamic and exciting stages featuring riders from all over the world, including Polish riders.<\/p>\n

Thanks to excellent organization and a setting similar to the men\u2019s World Tour races, this season Tour de Pologne Women received first-category status from the Union Cycliste Internationale. In August, riders will return to the Lubelskie region and the Roztocze area to compete on picturesque and hilly roads. The race has also been recognized by the top teams in the world, as emphasized by Czes\u0142aw Lang.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fact that after just the first renewed edition we already have six confirmed World Tour teams at the start, including Kasia Niewiadoma\u2019s team, speaks volumes about the race\u2019s stature. We really want Kasia to take part, just like Daria Pikulik, who\u2019s also eager to race. I\u2019m glad this race is gaining strength, and that\u2019s why we approach its organization just like we do with the men\u2019s Tour de Pologne. The production, staging, and media coverage \u2013 everything is top level. It will be a great spectacle, and it\u2019s fantastic that Polish riders will be able to shine here\u201d<\/em> says the General Director of Lang Team.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe meet all the organizational requirements of the International Cycling Union and I believe we\u2019ll be in the World Tour before long\u201d<\/em> he adds.<\/p>\n

The good organization of the race is also appreciated by the riders themselves. Kaja Rysz, who finished third on the final stage of last year\u2019s edition and is now riding for the WorldTour team Roland, spoke very highly of the Tour de Pologne Women.<\/p>\n

\u201eThe organization at the Tour de Pologne Women is really excellent. Honestly, it\u2019s a better race than some of the WorldTour events I compete in. I\u2019m very impressed and truly grateful that we can have such a race in Poland\u201d <\/em>said Kaja Rysz.<\/p>\n

The position of Tour de Pologne Women is getting stronger \u2013 just like Polish women\u2019s cycling. Our athletes are among the world\u2019s best, as shown by their strong presence in the World Tour and their accomplishments. Last year, Katarzyna Niewiadoma won the general classification of the Tour de France Femmes, and Daria Pikulik became an Olympic silver medalist in the track omnium. Tour de Pologne Women, along with the long-established Tour de Pologne Junior, aims to help grow women\u2019s cycling in Poland.<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough racing, we encourage kids and youth to take up sports. Our girls show that you can win Olympic medals or even the Tour de France, so it\u2019s definitely a motivation to take up cycling. Let\u2019s not forget about the Tour de Pologne Junior \u2013 races for kids held in a World Tour atmosphere. That certainly fuels imagination and a desire to ride\u201d<\/em> emphasizes Czes\u0142aw Lang.<\/p>\n

Tough and beautiful route in Lublin region and Roztocze <\/strong><\/p>\n

This year, riders competing in Tour de Pologne Women will once again race on the roads of the Lublin region. The race will kick off with a stage in Zamo\u015b\u0107, followed by a stage in Che\u0142m, and will conclude with a demanding leg from Na\u0142\u0119cz\u00f3w to Kra\u015bnik, where last year\u2019s winner was the Dutch Laura Molenaar, who later claimed the overall victory in the ORLEN general classification \u2013 the Main Sponsor of Tour de Pologne Women.<\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s edition showed that the Lublin region is an excellent place for cycling \u2013 not just because of high-quality roads, but also its beautiful scenery. In such a large event, logistics also matter \u2013 including hotel accommodation. As in the previous year, teams, organizers, and referees will stay at the Arche Hotel in Na\u0142\u0119cz\u00f3w.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe route is truly beautiful. We\u2019re in the Lublin and Roztocze region \u2013 the first stage will start and end in Zamo\u015b\u0107, then we\u2019ll have a lovely stage in Che\u0142m \u2013 just like we had a few years ago during the men\u2019s race \u2013 and the race will end with the Na\u0142\u0119cz\u00f3w\u2013Kra\u015bnik stage. The entire race base will be at the Arche Hotel in Na\u0142\u0119cz\u00f3w, which is very convenient because we don\u2019t have to change hotels. The stages will surely be beautiful and dynamic\u201d<\/em> comments Czes\u0142aw Lang.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Grochowski, owner of the Arche hotel chain, is a great visionary. If you look at his work, you\u2019ll see how many valuable projects he\u2019s developed and how many historical buildings he\u2019s saved. We\u2019ve been partners for years, supporting each other and promoting Poland\u201d<\/em> he adds.<\/p>\n

A grand sports spectacle within reach<\/strong><\/p>\n

Although Tour de Pologne Women isn\u2019t yet part of the women\u2019s World Tour series, the organizers ensure that everything \u2013 from safety to visual and TV production \u2013 is at the highest global level.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll cycling races promote their regions. The sporting level and competition are one thing, but as Tour de Pologne, we also promote Poland through the sporting event. We highlight important anniversaries and historical events in Poland. We talk about history and interesting facts \u2013 we promote host cities and sprint points, especially since the TVP Sport signal will cover the entire race from start to finish. The technology will let us be in the middle of the peloton. We\u2019ll deliver a huge sporting spectacle\u201d<\/em> explains Czes\u0142aw Lang.<\/p>\n

Interest in the race is also expected to rise thanks to a new date on the UCI calendar. The race will take place from August 12\u201314, just two days after the final stage of the men\u2019s Tour de Pologne.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe intentionally planned the races this way, with just one day off before moving to the Lublin region. There will surely be great interest in both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s races!\u201d<\/em> announces Czes\u0142aw Lang.<\/p>\n
