The three-stage Santos Women\u2019s Tour Down Under 2026 \u2013 the opening event of the Women\u2019s WorldTour season \u2013 concluded during the night Polish time with a demanding finale in Campbelltown, Australia. The race featured dynamic stages over rolling terrain and very active riding from the Polish riders.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From the very start, the competition was of a high level. On the opening stage to Willunga, Marta Lach of Team SD Worx\u2013Protime showed strong form, finishing in the leading group in sixth place. The top ten was completed by the second Polish rider in the race, Dominika W\u0142odarczyk (UAE Team ADQ).<\/p>\n

The second stage had a greater impact on the general classification. A fast pace and tough challenges in the finale meant that the stage victory was decided by a sprint from a group of around thirty riders. Dominika W\u0142odarczyk crossed the line just behind the very best in an impressive fifth place, moving up the general classification. Marta Lach finished the stage in 15th position.<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s final stage to Campbelltown, featuring two demanding climbs on Corkscrew Road, was the scene of an intense battle for the overall podium. Attacks by riders fighting for the general classification dominated the key moments of the day. Dominika W\u0142odarczyk was among them and ultimately finished just off the podium, which also secured her an excellent fourth place overall. The first Women\u2019s WorldTour race of the season was won by Noemi R\u00fcegg (EF Education\u2013Oatly).<\/p>\n

Marta Lach eventually completed the race in 31st place in the general classification.<\/p>\n
